Free Joint Webinar- Dry and Pre-Action Systems with AGF & General Air

OVERVIEW:

Dry and Pre-Action System Filling and Corrosion Solutions

There are a variety of technologies on the market for filling dry pipe and pre-action fire sprinkler systems – namely compressed air, dry air and nitrogen. In this presentation, we will review the available technologies, examine the pros and cons of each type, and discuss corrosion mitigation from both a design and field-level perspective.

Freeze Protection in Dry and Pre-Action Systems

Dry and pre-action fire sprinkler systems often fail due to freezing, improper maintenance, or vandalism. Building occupants are then at risk and a facility could potential suffer catastrophic flooding. Prevention is the easiest way to mitigate risk of fire sprinkler failure. This presentation will review NFPA 13 code requirements for freeze protection, auxiliary drains, corrosion monitors and flood prevention. Participants will understand common issues with auxiliary drains on dry fire sprinkler systems and learn how to minimize risk and expenses with a proactive approach. It will also include an overview of COLLECTanDRAIN and CORRinSITE products that solve the most common issues encountered with auxiliary drains. This program should appeal to sprinkler designers, installers, estimators, engineers, fire code officials, AHJs and plan reviewers.
